People Development & Training Specialist

An opportunity has arisen for a skilled and capable person to perform the role of People Development & Training (PD&T) Specialist. 


The People Development & Training (PDT) Specialist is responsible for preparing, implementing and maintaining all programs for People Development and Training throughout the company. Such programs include induction and onboarding training for new employees, conducting performance assessment for all employees; managing grading; identifying talent and providing the development and training means to secure talent; establishing the core sets of competencies for roles and identifying competency gaps requiring training and development solutions; establishing succession planning; and reporting and advisory to the Head of HR and other departments.


The role will report to the Head of Human Resources and is based in Jakarta.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and implement programs for People Development and Training across the company
  2. Design, implement and manage performance assessment processes
  3. Develop training plans and syllabus tied to and addressing identified competency gaps
  4. Develop a competency matrix and assess employee competencies
  5. Perform onboarding for all new employees
  6. Identify talent and develop a talent management system and process, collaborating with management and Heads of Department
  7. Develop Succession Planning
  8. Enhancing employee relations by developing employee engagement programs
  9. Establish a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program
  10. Conduct internal communications in promulgating company Vision, Mission and Values to employees
  11. Collaborate with Heads of Department in identifying development issues and providing solutions
  12. Timely and effective advisory to the Head of HR

Job Requirements:

  1. High degree of professional ethics and integrity
  2. Bachelor Degree in a related relevant field
  3. At least 3 years experience working in a similar position
  4. Proficiency in English
  5. Understanding of Training Needs Analysis and Competency Matrix
  6. Highly adaptable, collaborative and resourceful – to work as part of a team or independently
  7. Proven team player
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  9. Ability to multi-task and be organized in a fast-paced environment
  10. Strong analytical and problem solving skills,
  11. Careful attention to detail
