We are looking for a IT System Administrator to join our IT team in Jakarta. This role reports directly to the Head of Information Technology who is also based in Jakarta.
The IT System Administrator is responsible for managing the efficiency and the security of IT infrastructure, providing technical support for all internal users as required. He/she is also responsible for providing technical assistance to operations.
IT infrastructure
- Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks, and ensure optimal utilization of resources
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, networks
- Testing of new technical solutions
- Perform and monitoring data backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection
- Managing User accounts and access rights
- Handle servers and network equipment hardware
- Create and updates documentation for systems and applications
- Apply OS patches and updates on a regular basis
- Provide user support of IT applications and systems.
IT Security
- IT Security (encryption, prevention of malware and virus, human elements)
- Monitoring for Anti-virus update
- Back-ups & Network-attached storage (NAS) following SOP
- Conduct IT Security Training for newly hired employee
Providing technical support for all internal users as required
- Performing Hardware and software maintenance on laptop and PCs
- Resolve IT Helpdesk Ticket
- General IT operation training for users
- Ensuring major issues are escalated immediately to IT Manager
- Create manuals, guides, tutorials, internal rules, and ensure staff are well informed
- Support Linux and Windows Desktop
- Installing PCs and troubleshooting hardware
- Assistance to induction of new employees (i.e. providing desktop, printer connections)
Collaboration and Advisory to IT Manager
- Resources requirements (equipment, capabilities, training, budgeting)
- Development of new technical solutions continued
Other ad-hoc assignments.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system support, or helpdesk operations
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, hardware, networks, and basic IT security
- Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide clear user support
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Able to work under pressure, prioritize issues, and escalate critical incidents appropriately
